Perhaps you downloaded Minecraft world for the Java edition? You would need to convert them to Bedrock Edition worlds/maps (Education Edition is basically Bedrock with some extras), as WorldPainter exclusively exports to Java: so if you make any map and also maps online made with WorldPainter will not work in Educational Edition. Luckily there are tools to convert maps like Chunker (Bedrock & Java) or Amulet Editor. You could also sort on edition on PlanetMinecraft, to see if there is any map that is already compatible with your version... to it's probably preferable to just look for the best map and convert it if need be.
