Safest way to copy a string?

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/C_Programming

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Collect and Analyze Billions of Data Points in Real Time
  • Mergify - Updating dependencies is time-consuming.
  • SonarLint - Clean code begins in your IDE with SonarLint
  • SDS

Simple Dynamic Strings library for C

Even better, use a string handling library. Personally I am a big fan of (sds)[https://github.com/antirez/sds] from the Redis creator. It's not even a dependancy you can just copy the .c and .h to your project.

  • Git

Git Source Code Mirror - This is a publish-only repository but pull requests can be turned into patches to the mailing list via GitGitGadget (https://gitgitgadget.github.io/). Please follow Documentation/SubmittingPatches procedure for any of your improvements.

Same goes for (strbuf)[https://github.com/git/git/blob/master/strbuf.h] that I have heard is popular. It's not using sds's trick, it's just a simple struct and utilities.

  • InfluxDB

Collect and Analyze Billions of Data Points in Real Time. Manage all types of time series data in a single, purpose-built database. Run at any scale in any environment in the cloud, on-premises, or at the edge.

  • linux

    Linux kernel source tree
