Leaked Google document: “We Have No Moat, And Neither Does OpenAI”

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/programming

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • RedPajama-Data

The RedPajama-Data repository contains code for preparing large datasets for training large language models.

  • Meta AI is also the initial developer of PyTorch, the framework that fuels most of the machine learning landscape today. Ultimately that's the spirit of open-source, if they can profit from being community driven I say that's a win-win situation. Plus being so open about Llama means that people are allowed to replicate it with a more permissive license (with the added bonus that they discard any responsibility for those models as well) and people are already doing it.

  • llama

    Inference code for Llama models

  • By the way, for people not familiar with the leak, Llama models are for research purposes only and you need to request the download link from Meta, a user on Github just commited a magnet link into the readme to "save bandwidth"...a proper chad, some might even compare the feat to Armstrong's first step on the moon lol.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
