I'm using netcat for client-server exchange in multiplayer mode. So netcat have to be installed on system if you wish to play with friend. Terminals on both hosts have to be with equal dimensions.

You learn something when you practice in it. Just start to write your own scripts. IMO the best way to learn a new programming language is too write a computer game using this language. Take this red pill-piu-piu and see how deep the rabbit hole goes)
