Reddit just "recommended" me a community about the city of Bari, which I googled on Google Images yesterday for the first time in my life. How did it know?

Our great sponsors
  • SurveyJS - Open-Source JSON Form Builder to Create Dynamic Forms Right in Your App
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • AmIUnique

Learn how identifiable you are on the Internet

  • ivpn.net

    Official IVPN Website

  • Since I mentioned the vulnerability of a consistent ip address, one thing to look at in this area is a VPN service. I can recommend https://www.ivpn.net. I'm not affiliated in any way other than being a very happy customer for the past 6 months.

  • SurveyJS

Open-Source JSON Form Builder to Create Dynamic Forms Right in Your App. With SurveyJS form UI libraries, you can build and style forms in a fully-integrated drag & drop form builder, render them in your JS app, and store form submission data in any backend, inc. PHP, ASP.NET Core, and Node.js.

  • cli

Official Command Line Interface for the IPinfo API (IP geolocation and other types of IP data) (by ipinfo)

  • ip address: Does it change? Over the course of a week or so, what does this tell you https://ipinfo.io/ If it's the same then we know who you are from day to day and we can match all of the details shown on that page to other data sets reflecting demographic and psychographic profiles. None of your browser plugins are going to prevent this if your ip address, or it's associated network, is consistent. Your ip address becomes a 'key' to very large indices (data sets).

  • fingerprintjs

Browser fingerprinting library. Accuracy of this version is 40-60%, accuracy of the commercial Fingerprint Identification is 99.5%. V4 of this library is BSL licensed.

  • Probably through fingerprinting. There was a post here about https://fingerprint.com/ not too long ago. Go there and press the "View Live demo" button. Now do the same thing in a private browsing window. There's a good chance it'll still know it's you. The best thing you can do is to set the resistfingerpinting option, as mentioned by others, but still this doesn't work 100% of the time.

  • https-everywhere

Discontinued A browser extension that encrypts your communications with many websites that offer HTTPS but still allow unencrypted connections.

  • What's the issue with Firefox's implementation? And this doesn't change the fact that HTTPSe is literally fully sunset.

  • Firefox-UI-Fix

🦊 I respect proton UI and aim to improve it.

  • If helps, https://github.com/black7375/Firefox-UI-Fix/tree/photon-style
