Since I mentioned the vulnerability of a consistent ip address, one thing to look at in this area is a VPN service. I can recommend https://www.ivpn.net. I'm not affiliated in any way other than being a very happy customer for the past 6 months.
ip address: Does it change? Over the course of a week or so, what does this tell you https://ipinfo.io/ If it's the same then we know who you are from day to day and we can match all of the details shown on that page to other data sets reflecting demographic and psychographic profiles. None of your browser plugins are going to prevent this if your ip address, or it's associated network, is consistent. Your ip address becomes a 'key' to very large indices (data sets).
Probably through fingerprinting. There was a post here about https://fingerprint.com/ not too long ago. Go there and press the "View Live demo" button. Now do the same thing in a private browsing window. There's a good chance it'll still know it's you. The best thing you can do is to set the resistfingerpinting option, as mentioned by others, but still this doesn't work 100% of the time.
What's the issue with Firefox's implementation? And this doesn't change the fact that HTTPSe is literally fully sunset.
