Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Collect and Analyze Billions of Data Points in Real Time
  • Mergify - Updating dependencies is time-consuming.
  • SonarQube - Static code analysis for 29 languages.
  • rfcs

    RFCs for changes to Rust

Reactions have been not particularly positive, to say the least. Problems range from falsehoods/redefinitions of terms in the draft, including the fact that they refer to Ferris (seen here) as the mascot of the rust project, when it de jure is not and was even explicitly rejected due to legal concerns. It also forbids modifying the logo except to scale it, with the exception that you can recolor it to "show allegiance with a community movement"(e.g. Pride), as long as you run it by them first. Or at least that's what the FAQ section claims. The actual policy doesn't seem to include any provisions to do so, it only allows you to make logos grayscale in situation that require it (Fun Fact: The official logo apparently is not the black one, it's the one with the rust colored gradient). Other complaints are about the fact that it seems more restrictive and complex than the policies of other similar projects, including Python, IsoC++ and notably Oracle, apparently. It also seems to sorta(?) forbid some established practices in regards to naming projects "rust-" and similar, by wishing that those names only be used by the rust project, instead suggesting users use "rs-". Seeming to hope to grandfather them in and prevent overreach with just a promises and pinky swear of "We are not Nintendo, we are not Oracle.

  • uBlock-for-firefox-legacy

uBlock Origin for Firefox legacy-based browsers.

i'm using pale moon and this legacy fork of ublock origin, which quite possibly is the issue.

  • InfluxDB

Collect and Analyze Billions of Data Points in Real Time. Manage all types of time series data in a single, purpose-built database. Run at any scale in any environment in the cloud, on-premises, or at the edge.

  • AdAway

AdAway is a free and open source ad blocker for Android.

  • Piped

An alternative privacy-friendly YouTube frontend which is efficient by design.

Just gonna casually slide this under your metaphorical desk https://piped.video/ Its youtube with built in adblock, sponsorblock and dislike ratio.

  • Pi-hole

A black hole for Internet advertisements

afaik the solution is network-level adblocking with something like this

  • Mergify

Updating dependencies is time-consuming.. Solutions like Dependabot or Renovate update but don't merge dependencies. You need to do it manually while it could be fully automated! Add a Merge Queue to your workflow and stop caring about PR management & merging. Try Mergify for free.
