Blazing 💥 fast terminal-ui for git written in rust 🦀

I recently migrated completely over to Linux, and part of that was migrating my repositories and such over to the new drive and OS. After migration, however, when using my git helper of choice gitui, trying to pull or push from any of my GitHub repositories gives me git error:the server did not provide a certificate; class=Ssl (16). If I manually try and git push origin it compresses everything, but towards the end of the writing phase it cuts short with fatal: the remote end hung up unexpectedly. I tried generating ssh keys as this stack overflow answer recommended, but the issue still persists. I also tried making a backup, deleting, and re-cloning a repository with no luck either. Anyone know what the issue could be here?
