  • trimtube

TrimTube is a web application which allows user to fetch video or a playlist using a YouTube video or playlist link. This app also features a media player that allows the user to trim and loop any portion of a YouTube video with ability to save the video(s) to a playlist(s).

I have seen options like KAPWING and Flixier which are excellent paid options for people whose purpose is quick conversions and trimming. I however would like more in-house experimentation. The closest I have seen is trimtube but it does not have options to save video output locally.

  • yt-dlp

    A feature-rich command-line audio/video downloader

Try the --download-sections option of yt-dlp. Requires ffmpeg to be installed as well as (obviously) yt-dlp. I have not tried this myself.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
