Speaking of not getting messages, this is a recurring issue in Matrix when talking across homeservers. Just last week, matrix.org accidentally stopped talking to another server and we had to harass matrix.org's admins for >30 hours for them to start looking at it. It's not even the first time this happens between these two servers (and both are operated by Element, by the way, so it shouldn't be hard to keep them working together).
