  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS

  • JDK

    JDK main-line development https://openjdk.org/projects/jdk

Of course, the FSF does not own the copyright for the JDK codebase -- Oracle does. So naturally, there must be something in the codebase that notes that Oracle owns the copyright. In the case of the JDK, the reader learns this because literally every single file begins with a 24-line comment saying that Oracle owns the copyright and licenses it to you under the terms of the GPL v2. e.g. see https://github.com/openjdk/jdk/blob/master/src/java.desktop/share/classes/javax/swing/AbstractAction.java or any other .java file.

  • Git

Git Source Code Mirror - This is a publish-only repository but pull requests can be turned into patches to the mailing list via GitGitGadget (https://gitgitgadget.github.io/). Please follow Documentation/SubmittingPatches procedure for any of your improvements.

Adding a 24-line comment onto every single file can be a bit annoying (although it's super unambiguous and probably makes lawyers happy). The FSF recommends this practice, although it's not required. For instance, the Git codebase mostly just mentions it in the README, COPYING, and a few other files.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
