If you are really "hoping to break away from iCloud and Google Drive completely," which is a great objective imo, you might consider switching not only to Android and NextCloud, but de-googling as much as possible by using GrapheneOS.
This page on github implies that there is indeed an Android app, which is a big reason why I got Nextcloud up and running in the first place. But I can't seem to find an app anywhere... Is the only Android option (at the moment) to run Memories in a web browser? Thanks, everyone, for the clarification.
