Why is OpenUniverse still in Debian repositories and there is not Celestia?

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/debian

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • CelestiaContent

Data files for Celestia space simulator

Some of the data files may be non-free. The project at https://github.com/CelestiaProject/CelestiaContent states GPL 2.0, but shows some other licenses that may not be DFSG-compliant. The jessie package did split some of these resources into a nonfree package, so if nothing has changed in terms of licensing there may need to be a similar package if warranted.

  • Celestia

    Real-time 3D visualization of space.

Upstream is on github, and seems to have their own debian/* packaging scripts, so might just be a simple upload.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
