This is exactly why you'd use a package manager. If you're comfortable with using CLIs, I highly recommend using Homebrew to install software. A lot of macos apps are available on it, you can install with brew install , update everything you've installed with it using brew update && brew upgrade. And of course you can uninstall the app and delete related files using brew uninstall or brew remove.
I still use AppTrap. Hasn't been updated for ages but still works perfectly fine.
