Got some questions before moving to linux...

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/linux_gaming

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • bspwm

A tiling window manager based on binary space partitioning

  • I am not familiar with that distro at all, so no idea. KDE Plasma is fine, I use it myself (with BSPWM as my window manager, but that's irrelevant)

  • void-packages

    The Void source packages collection

  • Personal preference. I use system Wine because launchers are just bloat to me. My distro is Void Linux, so the Wine package from the repos is always up to date. If you use a stable distro like Ubuntu you might want to use a launcher if it gives you access to newer Wine builds.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • AreWeAntiCheatYet

A comprehensive and crowd-sourced list of games using anti-cheats and their compatibility with GNU/Linux or Wine.

  • It's worth checking Are We Anti-Cheat Yet to see which will and won't work.
