The only problem is that it consumes it into a database, but you can get the images back out easily, they'll just be missing any metadata if you manually copy them out instead of using one of the export functions built-in. It's what I've switched to using for my fanart collection. Another very nice aspect of it for datahoarders is that it has built-in support for ripping images off a given source, including keeping things like source url and possibly artist (if it knows how to parse it off the site in question).
