BattlEye and EAC both work in Linux (both natively and in WINE/Proton). But for Windows games with EAC/BE, the developers need to explicitly enable WINE/Proton support. The other kernel-level anti-cheats (such as CoD one) dont work at all. See here for the current status.
Been using and playing games on Linux since 1997. It's been there for some time. The games are different in most cases. I play overwatch on my Linux desktop now through lutris.net as well as steam native and proton enabled windows games.
