Security and Privacy Failures in Popular 2FA Apps

  • Aegis is my current favorite. There was a recent analysis on 2FA app security and Aegis came out as one of the better options, it's proper FOSS, it supports every feature I'd want, the UI is comfy and it just generally leaves me with little to complain about.

  • andOTP

Discontinued [Unmaintained] Open source two-factor authentication for Android

  • I used FreeOTP before that, which is also fine. I switched because maintenance had been fairly uncommon and there were some minor issues bugging me, but it seems to have picked up again recently, and it's backed by Red Hat as an entity for better or for worse. andOTP is officially deprecated, so I recommend switching to either of those.

  • InfluxDB
