right now I'm getting an error when I issue :wq from a .R file; the causes/what the error is isn't important; what I'm wondering about is how I can record it to see it later. In this case I was able to go to a linux tty and enter/quit neovim from there because it doesnt' cleat the terminal when exiting neovim. From this https://github.com/neovim/neovim/issues/3432 thread we see that you can't have neovim not clear the screen ("not use alternate screen") like you can in vim. for messages on startup we can see them with :messages. So my question is, is there a way to preserve messages/warnings/errors that appear when exiting neovim, without going to a specific terminal that doesn't clear the terminal when you leave?
