First I pay only a few dollars a month for the most basic FrndlyTV level of service. IT IS CHEAP AND LEGIT. Then I run a python script on Raspberry Pi that extracts FrndlyTV to a m3u list using this python script https://github.com/matthuisman/frndlytv-for-channels . This gets guide data too.
Second I have gone through the great list of FREE LEGIT channels at https://github.com/iptv-org/iptv and made my own custom list of those channels that interest me . You can see there is also guide data there too
I run the following Kodi addons from https://github.com/matthuisman/slyguy.addons IPTVMerge, PlutoTV, SamsugTVPlus, STIRR,Plex Live and any channel I want in my channels list is added to the ""my Channels" in that Kodi Addon.
