    There are options out there for doing what you wanted, obviously you know about Parallels which creates a virtual Windows PC (fine performace-wise, great compatibility), there's also CrossOver which sort of converts the windows app into a mac app (better performance, less compatibility). Those are both paid apps though which I'm assuming is why you were wondering about my free app. There is a free alternative to CrossOver called Wineskin which does almost exactly the same thing, it's just a few years behind CrossOver in terms compatibililty/performance.
