On Windows, you can usually set the graphics driver to scale lower resolutions to your native resolution transparently, though the quality may vary. The best option seems to be Magpie. On Linux, Proton's fshack works, including integer scaling / FSR; also, gamescope should do nicely. The catch is that what works depends on your hardware, distro, and the specific WINE/Proton version used. (nVidia cards are out in the cold in most cases, except they may be able to do driver-level scaling, like Windows.) Nothing that can use anime-specific scalers, like Magpie, unfortunately.
