This week in KDE: New Spectacle – Adventures in Linux and KDE

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/kde

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Collect and Analyze Billions of Data Points in Real Time
  • Mergify - Updating dependencies is time-consuming.
  • SonarCloud - Analyze your C and C++ projects with just one click.
  • kImageAnnotator

    Tool for annotating images

It's available as a library (https://github.com/ksnip/kImageAnnotator), additionally you can use the --edit-existing flag with Spectacle to edit arbitrary existing images.

  • flameshot

Powerful yet simple to use screenshot software :desktop_computer: :camera_flash:

I haven't made a feature request for kde because i think they have other more pressing concerns now and i'm not even sure if it's possible for the linux ecosystem with different toolkits. I know an issue exists for flameshot but it hasn't had much activity.

  • InfluxDB

Collect and Analyze Billions of Data Points in Real Time. Manage all types of time series data in a single, purpose-built database. Run at any scale in any environment in the cloud, on-premises, or at the edge.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
