docker-pi-hole

Latest mention: Pihole on Docker not saving to persistent volumes | reddit.com/r/pihole | 2021-01-19You have the paths mapped to the incorrect locations. Per https://github.com/pi-hole/docker-pi-hole#running-pi-hole-docker, you should be mapping $(pwd)/etc-pihole/ on the host to /etc/pihole/ in the container, and your dnsmasq data directory to /etc/dnsmasq.d/.

gravity-sync
An easy way to synchronize the blocklist and local DNS configurations of multiple Pi-hole 5.x instances.
So, I used gravity-sync and it all seemed good. Now it looks my databases are screwed.

Pi-Hole-on-Google-Compute-Engine-Free-Tier-with-Full-Tunnel-and-Split-Tunnel-Wireguard-VPN-Configs
Run your own privacy-first ad blocking service at home, or in the cloud for free with Google Cloud Services.
Latest mention: What is the best equivalent of this addon for an iPhone? | reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin | 2021-01-12I sent up a PiHole via Google for free (guide on GitHub). Unfortunately, like all methods like this (e.g. $10 Adguard), you’re not blocking terribly much anymore (outsmarted, cat and mouse). One example - Google ads (the not-so-annoying ones at tops of search results) aren’t blocked.

docker-openvpn-pihole
Create a single docker-compose and use the benefit from pi-hole if you use a Mobiledevice outside your Homenetwork
Maybe try this one? https://github.com/mr-bolle/docker-openvpn-pihole

no-qanon
A blocklist for QAnon, conspiracy, fake news, nazi websites.
Based on what I've read here over the previous month it seems many caught up in this tend to be older and dare I say less technically literate. I would therefore suggest people look into solutions like Pihole configured with an appropriate blocklist - this one might be useful but there are others. While it won't "take QAnon" down there's still ample opportunity to make a difference for those you care about. You also get network level ad filtration which is good for everyone.
