  • pass-clip

A pass extension that lets you quickly copy to clipboard passwords using fzf or rofi (by ibizaman)

Project mention: tessen: autotype and copy password-store data on Wayland, like rofi-pass | reddit.com/r/swaywm | 2021-09-20

I've also made a pass extension called pass-tessen that uses fzf to only copy data and is meant to be used inside a terminal. It can work on both Xorg and Wayland. Unlike pass-clip, it can copy passwords as well as metadata (key-value pairs) from pass. It can also show a preview of your password store data before you copy it.

Project mention: Darling – run Mac apps on Linux | news.ycombinator.com | 2022-01-05

Isn't having the part that submits the password embedded in the same shell history as the command itself more integrated than having a tool you need to tell to input your passwords pseudo-interactively each time? Isn't it also fewer keystrokes?

Either way, if you prefer something more interactive and keybind-y, one portable alternative you can use regardless of terminal emulator without necessarily involving a clipboard is to plug the password manager CLI into a terminal multiplexer, e.g.:
