The Elastic stack (ELK) powered by Docker and Compose.Project mention: Can't use ELK with Docker Compose | /r/elasticsearch | 2023-05-26
Hello everyone! I am trying to get started with ELK and I am facing a very frustrating situation. I am trying to use the stack with Docker Compose. I have tried 2 versions: https://github.com/deviantony/docker-elk and also https://www.elastic.co/blog/getting-started-with-the-elastic-stack-and-docker-compose but they both have the same problem. I inspected the Docker container logs and I get some weird errors:

Wazuh - Docker containersProject mention: Wazuh and ELK | /r/blueteamsec | 2023-05-12
I mean, you could set it up as a container too - although I'm sure someone has already done this for you - for example, Wazuh themselves at https://github.com/wazuh/wazuh-docker

Also have an instance of S1EM - https://github.com/V1D1AN/S1EM - running, monitoring my home LAN, firewall etc. It's huge overkill, and your machine may struggle to run it if you ran anything else with it, but might be worth looking at.

Hello u/zmiramf The error message you are getting is because you are setting the IP value between <>, the IP must be in the format key: value On the other hand, please note that you are posting a public IP address and anyone viewing this post can see it, for security reasons you may want to edit the post to not show a public IP. I have created this issue to improve the config.yml file and avoid the use of such delimiters if it proceeds. As my coworker correctly comments, if you use the -a option it does not fail because the config.yml file is auto-generated, but if you want to use the functionality of generating the certificates independently, you must set the IP values as I have commented.

This repository documents the steps required to set up a fresh RecipeRadar environment (by openculinary)Project mention: Ask HN: Who needs help with side projects? | news.ycombinator.com | 2022-07-01
I've been developing a recipe search engine and meal planner at https://www.reciperadar.com/ -- all the code is free and open source.
I think the two largest challenges it has at the moment are:
- Developer experience / infrastructure setup: the service is Kubernetes-based, composed primarily of Python+Flask microservices, and although the setup steps are documented, they're not yet automated.
- User interface: my lack of user interface design skills are fairly apparent, I think. Having some clear UI goals to work towards would be helpful - there's likely some overlap with product design questions here (what should be the range of functionality that the the app offers?)
Any and all feedback welcome, from discussion comments to pull requests to business model questions/critiques :)
PS: Don't forget to mention one or two of your own side projects if there's anything you're looking for help with, too.
