Top 7 Reason Ocaml Projects

  • GitHub repo revery

:zap: Native, high-performance, cross-platform desktop apps - built with Reason!

    Project mention: TfT Performance: Logseq | reddit.com/r/logseq | 2022-01-07

Maybe a technology like https://www.outrunlabs.com/revery/ would provide a better experience though it would require rebuilding the frontend, I presume.

  • GitHub repo oni2

    Native, lightweight modal code editor

    Project mention: Fleet, a Lightweight IDE from JetBrains | news.ycombinator.com | 2021-11-29

Onivim was what I wanted but alas the project ran out of money https://github.com/onivim/oni2/issues/3811#issuecomment-9103...

I really wanted a visual debugger I could use with the mouse like the one from Visual Studio Code.

So far there a no visual debugger tool like in any of the GUI project I know of that embed neovim.

  • Scout APM

Less time debugging, more time building. Scout APM allows you to find and fix performance issues with no hassle. Now with error monitoring and external services monitoring, Scout is a developer's best friend when it comes to application development.

  • GitHub repo query-json

Faster, simpler and more portable implementation of `jq` in Reason

  • GitHub repo styled-ppx

Typed styled components in Reason, OCaml and ReScript

  • GitHub repo fullstack-reason

    A demo project that shows a fullstack ReasonML/OCaml app–native binary + webapp

Project mention: How does ReScript affect me? | dev.to | 2021-02-09

Trust me; you don't want to do that. I've done a proof of concept of what it would look like, and the effort and the coordination of different tools and conventions required across the native and BuckleScript compilers and toolchains, is a large amount of effort with unclear payoff. It's unfortunate, but nothing is perfect and this particular combination is just not viable.

  • GitHub repo ocaml_webapp

A minimal example of a lightweight webapp in OCaml

    Project mention: hosting ocaml APIs | reddit.com/r/ocaml | 2022-01-12
  • GitHub repo agave

🍯 Sweet simple static site generator (by jottenlips)

    Project mention: I made a static site generator which creates minimalist, multi-page, no-JS sites from a single markdown-ish file | reddit.com/r/javascript | 2021-06-07

https://github.com/jottenlips/agave it copies your markdown folder structure, base.html and css to every page. It will also make every link pretty with an index.html. There are also a few built in themes to pick from.
