Project mention: What python library you are using for interactive visualisation?(other than plotly) | /r/datascience | 2023-06-01
https://panel.holoviz.org/ It's a web app framework for Python similar to what Dash does for plotly. It plays nicely with bokeh visuals and I think the front-end is built using bokeh css elements.
-
geemap
A Python package for interactive mapping with Google Earth Engine, ipyleaflet, and ipywidgets.
Project mention: I'm a senior in my CS major and it's incredible I didn't hear about GIS projects until now. Glad to be here. | /r/gis | 2023-05-22Try out Google Earth Engine and browse through it's catalogue to get a feel for what's available. GEE allows you to work with global datasets and immediately see a preview of the results (there's also geemap if you prefer doing this from a Python notebook instead of the online JS editor)
-

ipyvizzu
Build animated charts in Jupyter Notebook and similar environments with a simple Python syntax.
Project mention: Show HN: Build, present and share animated data stories in Jupyter Notebook | news.ycombinator.com | 2022-08-14We built this presentation extension of our open-source charting tool ipyvizzu (https://github.com/vizzuhq/ipyvizzu) because we learnt from the interviews and feedback from data scientists that they struggle with presenting and sharing the results of their analysis with less tech savvy people.
Here's a live example: https://vizzuhq.github.io/ipyvizzu-story/examples/demo/ipyvi...
