It is a bit slow but has decent features, including some physical units support.
I set up Tilda (or another Guake equivalent; I tried a bunch of them and can’t remember on which I settled in the end) to run it automatically when a terminal is opened, when pressing Scroll Lock. It’s quite neat: when I need to do a quick calculation, I just hit Scroll Lock, which spawns a drop down terminal with the focus; then type whatever I want to calculate; then control-D to dismiss the drop down terminal and I am back in whatever I was doing without moving either hand off the keyboard.
I do more or less the same thing on my Mac with Alfred.

First of all I had to choose what to use to manage the User Interface. I narrowed down to two modules: Halogen and react-basic-hooks (which is a “wrapper” of the unmaintained react-basic). I decided to go with react-basic-hooks just because I work with React on a daily basis and I wanted to understand its interoperability with PureScript. I will 10/10 try Halogen too in the next future since as far as I can see is the most famous and maintained in the PureScript community.

I will also add that Flame is a great way to get Elm Architecture goodness in PureScript.

I suck with dependency stuff :( Nothing ever seems to work and I can never seem to understand why. I'm trying to spago build this tictactoe game. What I've done so far is spago init and added a few dependencies to spago.dhall, which now looks like this
