  • GitHub repo Nextcloud

☁️ Nextcloud server, a safe home for all your data

Project mention: Why is using your own DNS resolver important? | reddit.com/r/PrivacyGuides | 2021-09-20

It's fun. This isn't directly a privacy-related selling point, but I speak from experience when I say that the rabbit hole that is r/homelab, r/selfhosted, r/homeserver, etc. is a fantastic one, and selfhosted DNS is often a great starting point for many. It starts with hosting your own DNS, then your own NTP server, then your own personal 'cloud', etc. etc. Step by step you'll be able to reduce the amount of dependency you have on third-party software which in turn allows you more control, and privacy, over your data

    Project mention: Networking database? | reddit.com/r/ObsidianMD | 2021-09-17
