If you liked the experience I strongly recommend you WSL2 with Alpine Linux, is a 4.x Mb download (AlpineWSL). Surely is a bit different to any distro (size wise, is meant for containers) but you'll get the hang of it, and if you don't like it you can always install the GNU utils (is more BSD than GNU) or simply use another distro that is not based in musl/busybox.

Red Hat has no official affiliation with Canonical who make Ubuntu.
If you want to test podman you 'll have better luck using an OS from the Fedora ecosystem where Red Hat has affiliations and is actively contributing.
