However, I want to take you to a totally different route. In the long run, you might be sharing more than just passwords with a close person (for an emergency). So why not, put everything you want to share in a Google Drive and upload a bunch of Keepass databases (.kdbx files). The database can be accessed and updated from the Google Drive through https://app.keeweb.info/. Even if you don't want to give the keeweb.info site access to your Google drive, you can manually download the .kdbx file and open it from the web location. Once you open the website, you can actually disconnect from the internet, no data is sent to the server unless you are syncing to GDrive/OneDrive.

I'm now using gopass as well, and it's great! Especially with https://github.com/gopasspw/gopassbridge, I get browser auto complete. And https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.msfjarvis.... on Android with its password fill integration. It's the best of all worlds and entirely free.
I even have my wife set up with the android app just in case something happens to me or she needs common passwords. She doesn't use it for her passwords yet, but baby steps.
