I recently discovered you can also use `npx kill-port 8000` to kill any process hosting at that particular port. I use elm-live, but I think it works for any service.

I'd argue it's better to have this by default, and if people really need it (which is arguable, see the discussion in https://github.com/elm/virtual-dom/issues/131) you could add ways to inject JS/HTML without the safety railings but not have those be the default or innocent-looking.
