i have seen those in annotated javascript documentation. but it was the other way around. (comment on the left, and code on the right).
they all seem to use docco[0] with the option to display comment in "parallel". the author of docco used it in their library underscore[1].

I had the same problem when i started my job. I used SchemaSpy to generate an html with all of metadata and ERD diagrams as a reference point. Then i used dbt to connect to the database and used dbt to document the table and column that i have worked on. It takes time to document but it's worth it if you company don't have your database documented yet.

He just recommended that I use HUGO to set up a simple, static website for a non-profit that could be hosted for free on Github and would be fairly simple for me to update using markdown. It sounded like a wonderful idea. He downloaded HUGO & set up WSL for my Windows Terminal for me & I was pretty much on my own to find tutorials for Git & Github, VSCode, Hugo & the Hugo Doks Theme.
