Project mention: Why I am Migrating From Zola Back to Hugo | dev.to | 2025-05-14

I have a local site I use as a knowledge base, journal and scratchpad. I recently migrated it from mdBook to Hugo, using the Hextra theme. The result was so good that I started questioning my use of Zola as my primary static site generator.

  8. diataxis-documentation-framework

A systematic approach to creating better documentation.

    Project mention: A Rust Documentation Ecosystem Review | news.ycombinator.com | 2025-05-11

SNAFU author here, thanks for including my crate! I’ll try to give your review a thorough read through later and incorporate feedback that makes sense.

I do have https://diataxis.fr/ and related stuff open in another tab and keep meaning to figure out how to best apply it for SNAFU.

Out of curiosity, do you recall if you also read the top-level docs[1]? That’s intended to be the main introduction, I actually don’t expect most people to read the user’s guide, unfortunately.

Documenting the unofficial and internal Steam Web API

Project mention: The Ultimate Steam Web API Guide | dev.to | 2024-12-19

Unfortunately, not everyone can become a Steam partner. Developers have slowly been piecing together the "hidden" or "undocumented" API for Steam to get access to more of the platform's data. One noteworthy resource is the Internal Steam Web API documentation. This provides information on various services used internally from within the Steam app to fetch and mutate data. This documentation isn't officially supported by Valve, and using these undocumented APIs may carry certain risks.

  14. edge-developer

    Developer documentation for Edge.

Project mention: Google pulls the plug on uBlock Origin, leaving over 30M Chrome users sus | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-08-14

They didn't declare anything about that. Vivaldi said they have their own ad blocker not dependent on V2 [0]. Edge is in process of updating their timeline [1].

I think the problem is. What if Chromium won't have code supporting V2 anymore? Vivaldi seems to have decided that they will provide a built-in feature for advanced ad blocking and Edge seems to be undecided yet.
