Bitcoin.org

Project mention: Ontier Initiates Legal Action on Behalf of Craig Wright to Recover $4.25 Billions Worth of Bitcoin “Requesting the developers to enable TTL & regain control of stolen the stolen BTC” | reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency | 2021-03-01This is true. What baffles me is how any serious law firm could agree to participate in these ridiculous suits. Yes, money talks, but in the UK there is the SRA which is supposed to closely monitor the activities of lawyers and law firms to guard against any unethical behavior. It seems to me that what Ontier LLP is doing in this case is highly unethical. The suits they are filing are absurd, and they must know this. They are presumably taking fees from Calvin Ayre in order to attack Bitcoin developers, bitcoin.org etc (I cannot imagine they would file such ridiculous lawsuits without a lot of money up front on retainer; there is no way they would do this purely on contingency). Isn't that clearly unethical?
