Top 10 Haskell Blockchain Projects

  • GitHub repo plutus

The Plutus language implementation and tools

Project mention: Simple walkthrough on why Cardano development takes so long. | reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency | 2021-10-20

Looking at https://github.com/input-output-hk/plutus/pull/4087 (Minor doc fix) I went through the code and I saw that that PR failed the checks. This was curious. This should be trivial.

  • GitHub repo reach-lang

Reach: The Safest and Easiest DApp Programming Language

Project mention: Algorand developer sub? Also, question about building first web app on Algorand. | reddit.com/r/AlgorandOfficial | 2021-10-01

i would recommend taking a look at https://reach.sh or pyteal.

  • Nanos

Run Linux Software Faster and Safer than Linux with Unikernels.

  • GitHub repo ouroboros-network

An implementation of the Ouroboros family of consensus algorithms, with its networking support

Project mention: Open Source Projects written in Haskell | reddit.com/r/haskell | 2021-06-30

    • cardano-node - top level integration code • ouroboros-network & ouroboros-consensus - network code & consensus (which integrates network, consensus and the ledger) • ledger - ledger(s) specifications and implementation • plutus - the smart contract language and related infrastructure

  • GitHub repo chainweb-node

Chainweb: A Proof-of-Work Parallel-Chain Architecture for Massive Throughput

Project mention: Kadena just released their Q1 2021 roadmap and is about to take off | reddit.com/r/CryptoMoonShots | 2021-01-17

Not that I'm aware of. The project is open source and well-documented. Feel free to audit: https://github.com/kadena-io/chainweb-node/

  • GitHub repo cardano-ledger-specs

A formal specification and executable model of the ledger rules introduced by the Shelley release

Project mention: How do swaps work on blockchains that do not support Smart Contracts? | reddit.com/r/cryptodevs | 2021-08-19
  • GitHub repo kepler

A Haskell framework that facilitates writing ABCI applications

    Project mention: Cardano Cosmos Bridge | reddit.com/r/cardano | 2021-07-03

Yeah, that's the plan. Well roughly it is. My idea is to use keplr https://github.com/f-o-a-m/kepler to create a tendermint chain that's sole purpose is keeping track of state in the cardano-sl by communicating with a cardano smart contract. Once you have this tendermint based chain, hooking it up to the rest of the cosmos ecosystem with the IBC is trivial (relatively trivial, nothing is _really_ trivial when it comes to blockchains).

  • GitHub repo Sword

Sword — A financial derivative language for the blockchain

Project mention: Announcing the Sword compiler | dev.to | 2021-01-02

Several of these improvements were made as contributions by students who subsequently took their first Haskell course. We are proud to say that the barrier to entry is low enough to welcome people with limited experience in Haskell, compilers and blockchain.

  • Scout APM

Scout APM: A developer's best friend. Try free for 14-days. Scout APM uses tracing logic that ties bottlenecks to source code so you know the exact line of code causing performance issues and can get back to building a great product faster.

  • GitHub repo blockchain

Generic blockchain implementation in Haskell. (by TGOlson)

  • GitHub repo chainweb-mining-client

    A mining client for Kadena

Project mention: Bought a Goldshell KD5, How do I set this up to mine? | reddit.com/r/kadena | 2021-03-29
  • GitHub repo spedn

Smart contract language for Bitcoin Cash (Bitbucket mirror)

    Project mention: Gigamega loops! | reddit.com/r/bsv | 2021-08-07

Yes, sCrypt is plagiarized Spedn which I wrote in Haskell. Granted, he implemented "loop" and some other changes on his own. And this IDE too (or took from somewhere else, idk).
