See this post for a more in-depth evaluation. Short version: magic resistance improved saves vs spell help compensate for the wild mage's danger to themselves, but limited spells per level makes use of Chaotic Weave (Nahal's equivalent, pulling from a randomized list rather than from spells known) all but mandatory at times. High risk, high reward.

As a worshiper of the goddess of beauty, she’s no less committed to justice and goodness, but she’s not quite so… paladin. She puts me in mind of a somewhat less serious Cassandra from Dragon Age: Inquisition: her faith and morality are important to her, but she’s perhaps less severe. Some flirting in BG1, no romance till the sequel (see below).

I don't install any of the sexy stuff (no judgment, just not my thing), but there are a few quests in it that I really like - two of them about delivering letters, and one about finding old love letters.
I've got the Azengaard mod installed right now. You can obtain another 200 pounds of your favorite ore. You have to work for it, and kill a few Rune Assassins, but that's the way adventuring works. The original mod was a Spell Hold Studios hosted one, but right now SHS is off-line. An alternative is here, which I've tried, and it is bug free and that's with loads of other mods installed.
