I use my own special sauce on top of https://github.com/RevenantX/LiteNetLib and when releasing on Steam it was really easy to change to the Steam networking api. LiteNetLib has really great helper classes that I still use for building messages even though the messages are sent via Steam relay. Both were really easily able to support reliably syncing thousands of (mostly physics) objects.

https://github.com/microsoft/MapsSDK-Unity is the one for unity and it is MIT licensed along with https://github.com/microsoft/MapsSDK-Native for android and ios. This would make it a lot easier to do many things and its already open source so licensing/copyright shouldn't be an issue. The unity one is in C# but I haven't done much of that so I don't know how easy it would be to port even if you needed the mono version to use it.

We use MoonSharp for our Lua integration, and it provides easy ways to bind methods and read & write data between C# and Lua sides. It also allows oyu to easily manage the LuaVMs themselves, of course, but we've also created our own wrapper for it that adds some helpful features and also allows us easily write Lua APIs and then choose which ones to use for each LuaVM when we start them.
