LTESniffer: An Open-Source LTE Downlink/Uplink Eavesdropper
It uses srsRAN which supports SoapySDR which is vendor agnostic.
this should work with limesdr as well.
for something cheaper, try antsdr or adalm-pluto: https://github.com/srsran/zynq_timestamping
lots of good notes here: https://www.quantulum.co.uk/blog/private-lte-with-analog-ada...

Is LTE control channel decoding illegal? Thanks.
I was thinking of using Falcon to see the control link in the US. Just didn’t want to do anything illegal. Thanks! https://github.com/falkenber9/falcon
What are some alternatives?
QCSuper - QCSuper is a tool communicating with Qualcomm-based phones and modems, allowing to capture raw 2G/3G/4G radio frames, among other things.
