zrepl: A one-stop, integrated solution for ZFS replication
I have rather nice experience with ZnapZend https://www.znapzend.org/
Only issue i've found is the fact there is no official Debian repository and i always do forget to recompile it after upgrading Debian :-D
I really like the configuration system integrated in ZFS set/get...

ZFS or BTRFS for raid0 + backup server
Hi, I'm using zfs on my home server since years. (Proxmox host). Never had any problems, I'm using https://www.znapzend.org/ for automatic snapshot which are cheap (time and required space) and they get synced with my backup server.

Docker volume backup
If you need something that’s more for peace of mind than for rigorous backup policy, you could use the ZFS storage driver, and do periodic snapshots of the whole tree, or use some shell scripting to enumerate the volumes you care about and zfs snapshot or zfs send them somewhere safe.

Automatic container snapshots? cv4pve or zfs for a small homelab?
From my research, I can see two options: - Proxmox specific cv4pve-autosnap - generic zfs-auto-snapshot, available in repos

Some Proxmox Backup, Snapshot and Storage questions
Since Proxmox natively supports ZFS, you could that to make your snapshots. You can do automatic snapshots with zfs-auto-snapshot or for VMs with cv4pve-autosnap.

How to use Cron command to create zfs snapshots every hour with naming the time?
You may want to skip trying to manage these manually and use something like this: https://github.com/zfsonlinux/zfs-auto-snapshot
-
$ rm Important.txt (uh oh)
Not every operation, but it's easily automated. https://github.com/zfsonlinux/zfs-auto-snapshot

Maybe a very uncommon use for sanoid: setup for snapshots 2 daily
zfs-auto-snapshot is as simple as it comes. It has cron jobs that show you how to take periodic snapshots. It cleans up its old versions.
- Simple bash script for sending incremental snapshots daily

How do you backup your 20.04 server ?
I'm guessing you're not using ZFS, but on the off chance you are, you can use a combination of snapshots (zfsautosnapshot) and syncoid (which makes use of zfs send/receive) to backup.

OFFSITE BACKUP: Synchronizing two NextCloud clones that run on ZFS
zfs-auto-snapshot is a bash script for creating and retaining a configurable number of hourly, daily, weekly, etc snapshots. You then have to manage the sending and receiving on your own.
What are some alternatives?
sanoid - These are policy-driven snapshot management and replication tools which use OpenZFS for underlying next-gen storage. (Btrfs support plans are shelved unless and until btrfs becomes reliable.)
zfs_autobackup - ZFS autobackup is used to periodicly backup ZFS filesystems to other locations. Easy to use and very reliable.
zfsbud - ZFS snapshotting, replicating & backup rotating convenience bash script
zfsnap - A portable, performant script to make rolling ZFS snapshots easy. (https://github.com/zfsnap/zfsnap/issues/109)
zfsmanager - ZFS administration tool for Webmin
docker-vackup - Script to easily backup and restore docker volumes
scorch - Silent CORruption CHecker and filesystem audit tool
zfs - OpenZFS on Linux and FreeBSD
zfs-scripts
backup-utils - GitHub Enterprise Backup Utilities
