youtube-music VS opengapps

Install Firefox, ublock origin for desktop YouTube, install https://github.com/th-ch/youtube-music for YTM outside of your browser, use revanced manager for the Android YTM app, stop paying a suckers tax lol

I solved both of these by using a third party app that also allows you to download any song/album and has a bunch of cool plugins.

I personally prefer the one at https://github.com/th-ch/youtube-music because it's a bit more lightweight and simplistic - like having the browser tab without the account conflicts. But either way, using a standalone desktop version is definitely the way to go when using separate channels.

This one is really great: https://github.com/th-ch/youtube-music It's like YouTube vanced but on pc with more plugins and you can also download any album with the lyrics included.

Use this link instead and scroll down until you find" YouTube-Music-Setup-1.19.0.exe" and download it. Then you can run the setup.

FYI there is no official Open GApps packages for Android 12 (LineageOS 19.1) @ the present as you can see in https://opengapps.org/

In TWRP you have to go to Mount menu and mount everything that you can: /system, /vendor, /data, etc. Then go to Wipe menu, click Advanced Wipe and check everything, then wipe your device clean of MIUI. At this point there will be no OS installed in your phone. After that, copy your custom rom .zip file to a USB Type-C OTG drive, plug it in your phone, go to Mount menu and mount USB OTG, then go to Install and click your custom ROM file in the OTG to install it. Install Magisk if you want root. Install Google Apps package from OpenGApps or other sources if your custom ROM doesn't include GApps (Play Store).

These open source projects pull the latest original WSA packages from Microsoft, unpack the system images, add a Open GApps package ("open" as in the process of creating that package is open source, even if the Google apps themselves are not) and/or Magisk if you choose to, repack the images, build the Windows installable package.

You don't have the Play Store? If you want that and it's not there, you can go this website and sideload it. I'm not sure if the retroid has some recovery mode but that's how you'd install it, mine is accessed by pressing the volume up + power button. They also have a wiki page. It's been a while since I rooted and installed ROMs on my smartphone though.
