Is my lwtoc working?
If you're not using the Alternative Mod Launcher you should

Trouble Launching War of the Chosen
It's weird that verifying files doesn't work. Try renaming the config folder in user/documents/my games/xcom/xcomwotc, when you launch the game it should regenerate the folder and maybe it'll run properly. Also, even if you don't use mods try the Alternative Mod Launcher, the 2k launcher is garbage.

X-COM 2 and War of the Chosen won't start after re-install
I've never used the 2k launcher but I've heard from modders that it's so useless that sometimes it fails to even load the game, don't even think of loading mods with it. I don't know if this is your problem but you can try to use the Alternative Mod Launcher, of course you don't need to actually load any mods, just use it to launch the game, maybe that will work

Xcom WotC cannot find mods after transferring to HDD
You shouldn't be using the 2k launcher, use the AML instead, if it doesn't find the mods go into settings and add the folder to the list
- XCOM 2 with mods?
-
How can i get directly downloaded mods and Steam mods to work and what DLC's should i enable
Check this sub's wiki, at the bottom it shows you how to set up a local mods folder, then you should add that folder to AML, which you should be using for modded XCOM 2

What games go from "ok" to "extremely good" when modded?
Dude, the og launcher Is shit; you gotta use the AML if you wanna play X2 decently. AML stands for Alternative Mod Launcher, and it's an X2 launcher built by the community to make mod management easier (and since the various launcher updates, keep the game running as well...) You can find it here on GitHub: https://github.com/X2CommunityCore/xcom2-launcher

[XCOM2 WOTC] Is there any tutorials on how to mod this game?
Download the Xcom Alternative Mod Launcher from here: https://github.com/X2CommunityCore/xcom2-launcher

Just got done with a session where I couldn't do any autopsy.
Are you using the AML ? It will tell you if there is any conflicts, tho it can't show all the problems that your list might have

- Nice update, but my library is a mess

I made a partially open-source alternative to the Steam Client
Do you happen to know anything about the way they hash cd keys?
- Change the exe name of ANY steam game (very useful launch command)
-
Can i add 2 starting options to non-steam games like this?
You can with both Steam Metadata Editor and Steam Edit.
-
What the hell is this? I think Steam made me update for this.
Using a Metadata editor like this one you can delete the PDLauncher and go back to running like normal. I had to do this last week when they started adding the extra crap, breaking my 1.10 RO install.

Linux guy steamos ama
How do I get Steam Metadata Editor working on the Steam Deck?
- Thanks I hate it
-
FF14 which version to buy?
On my PC, I've been able to dupe the PC version and have the appID point to it as if it were the Steam version, but that was with a program called SteamEdit, which currently doesn't play nice with the Steam Deck at this moment. So until SteamEdit or Steam Metadata Editor get better Steam Deck support, I'm currently locked out of those particular things.

Is it possible to tell Proton to run an executable as Linux binary?
I don't have any launch options set, the menus I'm talking about are these.

Changing Steam Game Metadata
Hi all, I've been wanting to find something similar to SteamEdit for the Deck, All I've been able to track down is this: https://github.com/tralph3/Steam-Metadata-Editor, but I can't seem to get the program to build on my deck. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm really just looking to change the names and sort names for my games so that games are in the order I want. Thanks in advance! :)
