How to use the API to get all the buffers' filetypes in the current window

I'm using nvim-tree and symbols-outline, and I have this problem where when I go to :q in the file I'm working on, I end up with a buffer for nvim tree and/or symbols-outline. Ideally, those close when I :quit the file I'm in. I found about the QuitPre autocmd which seems the right place, but I'm trying to figure out how to determine if there's an NvimTree or Outline filetype open.3 projects | reddit.com/r/neovim | 27 Nov 2022
Not an answer to your question, but I have opened this issue on symbols-outline because the callback to close the outline seems to never work. And the repository is currently unmaintained unfortunately.

Well, you can use symbols-outline.nvim.

Interesting idea! Seems more like simrat39/symbols-outline.nvim with configurable queries, than a typical minimap.

The other tool I use a lot to help me, although a slightly different problem/workflow is https://github.com/simrat39/symbols-outline.nvim which can be handy 'at a glance' and if the function is _really_ long then I'll jump to that side bar to more quickly jump to the next function.

It’s Symbols and outlines - https://github.com/simrat39/symbols-outline.nvim.
How can I have a symbol line like this? I saw that there is symbols-outline.nvim, but it opens a sidebar.

I personally use aerial.nvim instead of symbols-outline.nvim because the former provides both the outline sidebar and an API to retrieve current location. What's better it eves comes with a lualine.nvim component to render the current path.
Which plugins can list all variables assigned in file?

symbols-outline lists all symbols, not sure variables are shown too: have a look.
