Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

It'd be interesting to know how this compares with alternative solutions.
I might not understand the benefit proposition correctly, and I'm not specifically into Python for data work, but I immediately thought of things like feather, fst, disk.frame and even DuckDB.
Some of these are on disk rather than in memory, but I'd still be interested in performance and use case comparisons.
What are some alternatives?
