There are very few things to do to connect Storybook to a Symfony application, this is a step-by-step guide to get you started. I'm assuming that you already have a Symfony application with Twig installed, and that you're using webpack encore. But that's not a requirement, you can use any other frontend tool you like.

Alternative to spamming pages with <link and <script ... what is a clean solution?
How is that spamming pages? If your route/form needs custom JS/CSS you need to add it to the page somewhere. Otherwise if you’re already using a UI framework, see if you can leverage existing JS and styles for your component? https://symfony.com/doc/current/frontend.html
