Watchexec ignore directory?
Hi, I am using Watchexec (https://github.com/watchexec/watchexec/releases) to monitor folder changes, but I want to exclude some folders. What parameter should I use to perform the route exclusions?
-

My first actual Rust program: Cloak, a simple app to search and watch directories to automatically hide files and directories

is there a plugin to run any file (.py .js .java etc.) and display the output?
I use watchexec to automatically run the code when saved, you should customise this to your liking.
-
[Paid Bounty-$20 in Bitcoin!] Persistent - Watchfolder() dir, if files contains word "apple" in name, make file Read only.
OTOH PowerShell will not keep watching and is one of the requirements. In the past I've successfully used watchexecrepo and inotifywaitrepo.
-
How to automatically run a command when directory updates?
I prefer watchexec as it's cross-platform.
-
What is the most underrated tool you encountered ?

JSM Linux Stability
As a side note, you could try my own implementation at https://github.com/Yamakaky/gyromouse. JSM compatibility is incomplete, but I work on Linux primarily so it should work fine.
-
Any other controller mapping tools that supports flickstick and gyro besides JSM and SteamInput?
The only other option also doesn't have a GUI: https://github.com/Yamakaky/gyromouse, though it is a planned feature. Nothing else exists for Flick Stick. For DS4 windows, try turning up the gyro deadzone. It doesn't actually create a deadzone despite its name. Basically make as small as it can while still covering the gyro point thing that it shows you.
What are some alternatives?
entr - Run arbitrary commands when files change
JoyShockMapper - A tool for PC gamers to play games with DualShock 4, DualSense, JoyCon, and Switch Pro Controllers. Gyro aiming, flick stick.
watchman - Watches files and records, or triggers actions, when they change.
tokei - Count your code, quickly.
fswatch - A cross-platform file change monitor with multiple backends: Apple OS X File System Events, *BSD kqueue, Solaris/Illumos File Events Notification, Linux inotify, Microsoft Windows and a stat()-based backend.
wasmer - 🚀 The leading Wasm Runtime supporting WASIX, WASI and Emscripten
systemd-manager
alacritty - A cross-platform, OpenGL terminal emulator. [Moved to: https://github.com/alacritty/alacritty]
fd - A simple, fast and user-friendly alternative to 'find'
