Show HN: Warp, a Rust-based terminal for the modern age
It's a good question, one that we are discussing a bunch.
We are planning to first open-source our Rust UI framework, and then parts and potentially all of our client codebase. The server portion of Warp will remain closed-source for now.
You can see how we’re thinking about open source here: https://github.com/warpdotdev/Warp/discussions/400 TLDR;
As a side note, we are open sourcing our extension points as we go. The community has already been contributing new themes [https://github.com/warpdotdev/themes]. And we’ve just opened a repository for the community to contribute common useful commands. [https://github.com/warpdotdev/workflows]

How we designed themes for the terminal - a peek into our process
You can check out the base theme experience in Warp now, where you can choose from a set of themes and customize via an external file. Shortly gradients and image support will be rolling out. Customization and sharing are down the road.

Show HN: A simple Pastebin Clone using Deno
Looks similar to Solarized Dark.

Gruvbox PSP Theme [W.I.P]
Gruvbox its a retro groove Color scheme heavily inspired by badwolf, jellybeans and solarized. With this I want to give the community a customization theme a little different from what they are used to such as neon and those quirky themes that do not go with the retro theme of the PSP

Most readable, low eye-strain colorscheme?
Sorry to hear about the concussion
Have you tried solarised themes https://ethanschoonover.com/solarized/
Not sure if this theme will cater to your specific needs, I hope so.

Solarized dark for me.
I've gone so far as to manually create myself themes using the SD color codes in various editors, IDEs, and term programs when one isn't available.
- What is your favorite colorscheme?

The 12-bit rainbow palette
This was my first thought too. I wonder how close to solarized[1] that would come.

Today I discovered ArcGIS Pro has a dark mode
Are custom themes possible via the .NET SDK or something? A solarized theme implementation would be rad.

Show HN: Penumbra, a perceptually optimized color palette based on natural light
At first, your color palette made a very good first impression to me.
> I’m claiming it is an improvement in terms of usability, simply because Solarised wasn’t designed with these properties in mind.
Are you sure about that? On [1] and [2] the creator of Solarized describes why he choose low contrast and specific hue differences, representable in CIELAB. That sounds rather similar to your first three points in [3].
Even if the approaches have some similarities, it does doesn't denigrate your work. Thanks for continuing this line of work. And I am looking forward to test Penumbra in comparison to Solarized.
