Funds of every Trust Wallet browser extension could have been stolen
The flaw was not in a dependency but Trust Wallet's first party code [1]. They decided that Mersenne Twister would be sufficient for generating cryptographically random data and specifically called it "secure" [2]. Very unfortunate.

WASM is a "pure" VM/execution environment without any system calls or library functions. Given that, you'll need to provide your own seed and your own PRNG implementation.
Trust Wallet seems to have botched that step [1]. How is that WASMs fault?

SafeMoon Wallet Beta - A retrospective of red flags
For myself and others in this forum, one of the first things we did was decompile the APK to see what kind of clues they left behind in their code. The first thing we saw was that in the lib folder sat the file libTrustWalletCore.so showing that the core of the app was the open source Trust Wallet code.
