OpenMage/magento-lts vs Magento 2.4.x for New Deployments?

Also, with any reasonably-sized build, creating functionality from scratch is going to be vastly faster with Sylius than M2. Even if you use extensions, they usually need at least several days of work to get them to mesh well with existing templates and functionality. We're 2 years into a large M2 build currently and I'm confident that we'd already be done if it we used Sylius, even if we had to do nearly everything from scratch. Magento development is painstaking slow and convoluted and everything is tightly coupled, which makes seemingly easy customizations take days or even weeks. Also, as far as frontends/templates, you can always go with: https://www.vuestorefront.io/ which is blowing up.

Rise of headless CMS & modern storefronts
2 projects | dev.to | 23 Apr 2021
Now looking at how VueStorefront (VS for short) which is another storefront to integrate with CMS approaches a market let me be optimistic about the future of frontend integrations. The VueStorefront was initially developed by the same company responsible for Spartacus and only recently become an independent company. Lesson learned from working on Spartacus and bringing it into the market must have an impact on how guys decided to introduce VueStorefront to the world.
MPA with Vue. How does this work?
2 projects | reddit.com/r/vuejs | 20 Apr 2021
There really isn't a reason not to use SPAs in ecommerce, projects like storefront exist, and before React & Co we had Ember. There are a lot of nuances to MPA vs SPA for ecommerce, the biggest one is probably the customer journey. Land your customers via SEO on an article and buy in 2 clicks or visit customers your shop and wander around (like clothing customers usually do). The latter one would significantly improve in terms of UX in an SPA because the inital overhead isn't as important.

Kotlin and FaaS, an impossible union?
2 projects | dev.to | 17 Oct 2021
Some time ago, I read a post describing how to run a serverless Kotlin function on OpenFaaS. While the content is technically correct, I believe the concept itself is very wrong. Such posts can lead people to make ill-advised decisions: "because we can" is hardly a winning strategy. in this post, I'd like to first explain why the JVM platform is a bad idea for FaaS. Then, I'll proceed to propose alternatives to use Kotlin nonetheless.
Are K8s/Helm sticking around long term?

Take a look at OpenFaaS. It's exactly the serverless, cloud-neutral solution you were talking about. And yes, it runs on K8s.

Serverless computing comes into play with the promise of freeing teams from having to deal with operational tasks. The general idea with Serverless computing is to be able to provide the service code, together with some minimal configuration, and the provider will take care of the operational aspects. Most cloud providers have serverless offerings and there are also serverless options on top of Kubernetes that use some of the patterns mentioned before. Some examples are Knative, Kubeless, or OpenFaaS.

Event-Driven OpenFaaS with Managed Kafka from Aiven

> In this post I’ll show you how to invoke your functions using Aiven’s managed Kafka service and the OpenFaaS PRO connector. A sample function and setup are included, so you can follow along with a free trial, or your existing Aiven account.
The Kafka integration is part of the strategy to sustain openfaas in the long run, since most commercial users refuse to sponsor the project or support it in any other way, this offers them something of value that they can pay for, along with a few other features useful for companies:
