vue-query VS vueuse

I started using the Vue port of this recently, VueQuery. Once you understand that this replaces the need for a store (for data at least) then everything starts falling into place and its really easy to implement caching, infinite scrolling and other cool endpoint stuff.

I use vue-query and would recommend it.

For server-side state I find something like https://github.com/DamianOsipiuk/vue-query to be nicer than Vuex, and then you can reserve Vuex for purely client-side state

React-Query, SWR, Redux Toolkit Query, Vue Query for RESTful APIs

Check out swrv or vue-query, they do this for you. One or two people from the vuex core team work on swrv.

React Query is React specific, but its core was fully separated from React and it can be used to build solutions for other frameworks as well. Such solutions have already begun to emerge. For example, Vue Query.

My opinion: Vue, specifically the Vue 3 Composition API. Most of your app state should come from computed() values. Bookmark https://vueuse.org and come back to it often. Go through VueUse's source (the docs for each function link to their source): you'll be surprised at how simple most of it is, and it stands as documentation of best practices for using the composition API in general.

Yeah, I figured useHooks was created without knowing about VueUse, but thought they might have become aware of it sense then. It makes sense, because though the code is heading in the direction of VueUse in terms of being maintained and well rounded, the structure of useHooks is quite a bit different. For what it's worth my timeframe is very similar to yours! Started in 2019, no React / Angular. I think looking at great codebases like [VueUse](https://github.com/vueuse/vueuse) shows off the best of composition API.
