depends on who your target market is too. If you have an ide like https://atom.io/ it's going to be less of an issue than a website for people who aren't tech oriented/heavy internet users.

The renpy software recommended the 'atom' editor when I clicked to edit the 'script.rpy' file of a project, so I just went with that.

I've been using the Atom editor that whole time, but unfortunately it's being retired at the end of 2022. This is a real pity because there's a big community around the application and despite being a bit resource-hungry, it's got a lot going for it.
